first_imgChelsea boss Jose Mourinho admitted his team’s display again Hull City was far from special as they ran out 2-0 winners at Stamford Bridge.A header from Eden Hazard and a well taken goal by Diego Costa were enough to see the Blues to victory on home soil in west London against a Tigers side who saw Tom Huddlestone sent off on the hour-mark.But the Portuguese boss with pleased with the flair his charges showed as they attempted to beat their opponents in style.“We played well enough,” said Mourinho. “It wasn’t a special performance. It wasn’t one of these performances that everybody is over the moon about because it was unbelievable. It was not this kind of performance.“It was a performance with flashes of happiness, flashes of creativity and of good football and it was good enough to win.“Every player had a good participation. Again, I repeat, not phenomenal but good enough.”And Mourinho reserved special praise for striker Costa, who ended a four game goal drought with his shot past Allan McGregor, insisting his fearless nature makes him an instrumental part of the Chelsea team.He added: “I’m happy with Diego [Costa] too. Not because of the goal, the goal is not important, but the movement, the happiness in his legs, the dynamic he brought [to the team] and the way he was pressing.“It looked for me that in this moment he is free of fear.”last_img read more
