From June 01, the Cro card will be introduced

first_imgThe aim of the survey was to investigate the liking and interest in participating in a potential tourism program under the working title “tourist voucher”, without specifying specific tax benefits, to investigate the intention to participate in the program for each of the potential 5 types of tax benefits individually. employers are willing to pay. The survey results are based on a representative sample of 400 employers. With the Cro card it will not be possible to withdraw cash, and unfortunately it will not be possible to use it online, but only through POS machines. The Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Croatian Employers’ Association, late last year conducted a survey among employers with the intention of determining the interest of employers in applying for some form of tourist voucher.  The only light at the end of the tunnel is the public sector, which realistically, are not so affected by this emergency situation, and are not their salary reduction and will be able to use the annual leave. As the conditions are completely different at the moment, it is certain that the eventual failure of the Cro card project should not be immediately rejected. It certainly takes at least three years to see if a project is accepted in the market or not, as well as its efficiency. Service providers may accept and authorize an initiated payment instrument transaction only if the electronic device at the point of sale is intended for the execution of payment transactions for goods and / or services according to the Decision on the National Classification of Activities 2007 – NKD 2007. (Official Gazette 58/07 and 72 / 07) in classes: 55 Accommodation and 56 Food and beverage service activities. However, it definitely needs to be improved, primarily through the possibility of online payment, which I see no reason why it was not possible at the beginning, until the inclusion of travel agencies for services in Croatia. If there is a trace, either through online payments or through POS devices, then the possibility of possible embezzlement is reduced to a minimum or not at all. According to the survey, every other employer shows a general interest in the presented concept, while 63% of employers prefer values from HRK 1.000,00 to HRK 3.000,00 per employee per year, and as the most important advantage most employers speak positively about the tourist voucher as a model of rewarding employees. What is the perspective of Cro cards today? Also, it is not clear why the Cro Card does not include various other tourist services, from museum tickets, car rental, tourist guides, nautical, and various tourist attractions and facilities, such as adrenaline sports, bicycle rental (also agency services) – everything that makes tourism. The success of the Hungarian Szep card Improving the Cro card project So far, the employer has been able to pay 7.500 kuna tax-free to its employees annually (in the name of Christmas, regress, bonuses na), and last year the option of an additional 2.5000 kuna was introduced through Cro cards. For every project, including this one, although there are currently extraordinary situations, a good start, perception and communication are important. In this case, this would mean that a large number of companies accepted Cro cards and paid the amount of HRK 2.500 to their employees. The Croatian model of implementing the Measure and the Payment Instrument is based on the Hungarian model, the “Szep card”. With the implementation of the Szep card in the period 2010-2015, Hungary achieved the goal, ie the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 29 percent, while the total income of domestic tourism increased by 64 percent, with the “Szep card” playing a decisive role. The success of the Szep card is precisely in the fact that at the very beginning a large contingent of cards was withdrawn, primarily from state and large private companies (there were no obligations, but…). That is why they immediately became popular and accepted, both by employees / citizens and the wider entrepreneurial sector. Employer Survey: Every other employer shows interest in Cro cards Although according to a survey from last year, when it was not this emergency situation, most employers viewed the Cro card positively, the question is how much will the project have an effect at this time? As announced, from June 01, the Cro card will be introduced, through which employers will be able to pay the amount of 2.500 kuna (tax-free), which will be allowed to be spent exclusively on paying for tourist and catering services. Namely, it is quite certain that in the private sector, employers will not pay funds for CroKartica because companies and jobs will be saved day by day. Also, there will be no annual leave in the private sector. Finally, although the project was originally intended to activate continental or rural tourism, as well as to be used only in the pre- and post-season, to extend the tourist season, currently due to the emergency, the Cro card starts on June 01st.last_img read more
